Wednesday

Today was sadly my last day in Berlin before I had to head back to the airport. So, after breakfast I packed all my belonging and left them with the hotel reception so that I could enjoy my last bit of time in the capital city without having to lug my bag with me. It was yet another beautiful day, so as I was going to be stuck indoors at the airport soon for a few hours I thought it would be good to take a walk. I went along to the zoological gardens park which runs along by the perimeter of the zoo. There is also a river that runs through the centre with a bridge over it. There are several different walks of differing lengths that you can do. When you walk along the main path, you can see some of the birds from the zoo, as well as a few wild ones: I saw a heron and what looked like some cormorants on the water. I also saw a red squirrel. If you want some refreshments, there is a nice little café near the entrance. This is a lovely place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The zoo is obviously right next door, so you could even incorporate both if you fancied it.

So, that’s it for now, folks! Another enjoyable trip made, and don’t forget to pop back again soon and follow me on my next adventure: next stop, India in a couple of months’ time…
