If you fancy something a little different from the Vegas Strip, then I would recommend a trip I really enjoyed to Freemont Street. This is a five-block, covered pedestrianised mall in downtown Las Vegas that has an array of music, food/drink outlets, and shops. It is also home to the Slotzilla Zip Line that runs on two levels along the ceiling of the covered walkway (between 77 and 114 feet up) This looked like great fun and really tempting, but not when you are wearing a summer dress like I was at the time – so remember the shorts! Nightly sound and light shows are presented each day, too, so it’s worth stopping until after dark to enjoy this experience.
