After a long flight from London Heathrow, I finally arrived in Hong Kong. Hong Kong airport is huge and flight arrivals are split between an A and a B zone. I , of course, found myself waiting in the A zone, when in fact my taxi driver was waiting in the B zone – I should have checked this out beforehand! Anyway, after a scenic drive, I finally arrived in Tin Hau, which is on the north side of HK Island. My hotel was perfectly located for getting around, with Tin Hau MTR station being just across the road. I found the MTR really easy to negotiate – much easier, in fact, than using the tube in London! Tin Hau is quite a busy place and there are plenty of shops and a shopping mall within walking distance of the hotel. There is also a big park in Tin Hau, Victoria Park, but I unfortunately didn’t get chance to go there – unfortunately, too much to see in the time allocated!
