My next morning involved a trip on the train to Akihabara which is in Chiyoda and is a busy electronic shopping district that houses many small outlets selling everything from tiny connectors to laptops. This place is where you will possibly find that old Nintendo game or gaming console you have been trying to locate for ages with no luck. The area is like taking a step back in time through technology history, and I enjoyed wandering around here more than I expected to. Some of the shops are so small and compact, but even manage to run over several floors with an array of carefully placed merchandise. During my busy time here, I managed to make a stop for coffee and have a sushi lunch in one of the local restaurants.

Later in the day, I set off for my pre-booked trip up the Tokyo Skytree in Sumida, which is the tallest of the two Tokyo towers and is 634 metres high at its highest point. I visited both observation deck levels of this broadcasting and observation tower: Tembo Deck which is at 350 metres and the Tembo Galleria Deck which is at 450 metres. It was great to visit before sunset so that I could not only see the sunset but also watch the day change into night and witness Tokyo lighting up for the evening. There are also places to eat and drink in and around the skytree, and there are glass floors. I really enjoyed this whole experience, and it made a great option for an evening out.
