It’s always good to be on holiday when it’s your birthday, so I couldn’t let it go by without doing something a little special. So, I managed to book onto a small sunset cruise trip for my actual birthday that included a meal and a glimmer of hope that a straggling whale may still be sighted. This trip was really enjoyable and relaxing with plenty of good food, wine, and company. It was a little tricky getting onto to the boat, though, as you had to get on from the beach in your bare feet and wait until it was your turn to get on. The lady in front of me timed the waves a little badly and landed headfirst into the sea! I didn’t manage to spot a whale or any other sea creatures while cruising the ocean, either, but you can’t have everything, I suppose.
